Job Summary:

Excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to join the head office finance function .  You will have the opportunity to innovate with one of Ireland’s leading businesses and make long-lasting professional connections.

The role is varied and includes: 

  • Overall responsibility for the preparation of management accounts, cashflow analysis and other financial information
  • Work closely with the Management Accountant to achieve the above
  • Liaise with accounts and site personnel with responsibility for sign off of monthly reports ensuring that monthly reporting is being delivered on time
  • First point of contact with external auditors during the statutory audit process

Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the Management Accountant preparation of monthly finance reporting pack
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Sales accounting
  • Maintenance and management of fixed asset register and finance leases
  • Oversee the creditors and debtors ledgers
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of VAT returns and reconciliation
  • Supporting the budgeting & forecasting processes
  • Assist with IT systems and process design and improvement
  • Liaising with external auditors and preparation for the annual statutory audit

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Excellent Excel and Word skills
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
